"My vocabulary is huge and my grammar is atrocious. It makes me embarrassed to even try speaking."
The learn Russian app that coaches your weak spots
Slova is your language coach that knows which cases you miss.
It reads your level as you train, then builds each session around the cases and verbs you keep missing. Every word comes with its 6 case forms and aspect pair built in.
Train free for 7 days. Your card stays in your wallet.
Spaced repetition brings each word back right before you'd forget it. That's what makes it stick. You choose how many per session: 10, 20 or 30.
You've answered 41% of recent accusative case questions correctly. Training it gets you saying what you see, want, and love.
I haven't measured this one yet. It helps me understand faster what we should focus on next.
The frustration is real
"You've just spent a lot of time on this game and still don't know grammar, which is extremely important in Russian."
"After 479 days on Duolingo and reaching level 45, I still can't speak Russian."
"I can read the words fine. The second someone actually asks me something, my head goes blank."
"Six cases, and every app I tried just pretends they don't exist."
"Perfective or imperfective? Three years in and I still have to guess."
The case wall
You learned "книга" means book. But in Russian, one noun has 12 forms. Every app ignores this. Native speakers notice immediately.
The verb maze
Every Russian verb has two aspects. Plus prefixes that shift meaning. "I'll read" and "I was reading" are different words entirely.
The recognition trap
You can recognize words on a screen. You can't produce them in a sentence. The first time a Russian speaker asks you anything, your vocabulary list goes blank.
Your vocabulary outgrew
your grammar.
gives you words, with no grammar around them.
give you grammar, in a separate app entirely.

Slova learns your level
Every word you train carries a mastery level, from Novice up to Elite. Slova sets it from how often you get the word right and how long you go without slipping, so the score reflects how well you actually recall it.
Those scores roll up two ways: into your overall CEFR level, and into a mastery breakdown for every topic and word type. At a glance you can see your verbs of motion are stuck at Novice while your greetings sit at Elite.
That map is what makes targeted practice work. Tap any tier or weak topic and Slova builds a session from just those words, so your time goes to the Russian you keep getting wrong while mastered words rest until review.
Weak spots get their own drills
Every topic and word type carries a mastery score. When one lags, it lands in your weak spots with a Drill button next to it. One tap builds a session from just those words.
Your strengths stay on the board too. They tell Slova what can rest, so review time goes to the Russian that needs it.
Cases training
Every noun gets a full declension table - all 6 cases, singular and plural. Type the correct form. Get it wrong? See the full table and learn the pattern.
Conjugation training
Full conjugation tables for present, past, and imperative. Aspect detection included. The system knows which verb forms you struggle with.
Grammar in context
AI generates fill-in-the-blank sentences using your vocabulary. Every sentence includes a word-by-word grammatical breakdown. This is how you go from knowing a word to using it.

AI word builder
Type a topic - "airport", "emotions", "cooking" - and get words with stress marks, part of speech, and notes. Or translate any word and add it with one click. No Anki setup friction.
Smart spaced repetition
SM2 algorithm tracks every word individually. Words you nail disappear for days. Words you miss come back tomorrow. Production exercises push you further than recognition.
Typing the form beats tapping the tile.
