Delete your account
Last updated: October 6, 2026
There are two ways to delete your Slova account. Both wipe everything, and neither can be undone.
From the app
Sign in at app.slova.be, open Profile, and choose Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm once. After that your account is gone.
By email
Write to hello@slova.be from the address on your account, with "Delete my account" as the subject. We'll do it within 30 days, usually the same day, and reply when it's done.
We ask you to write from the account address so that nobody else can delete your account for you.
What gets deleted
- Your account and your email address.
- Every word you've studied, and your whole answer history.
- Your placement result and your skill levels.
- Your streak, your sessions and your progress.
- Your email preferences.
Delete only part of it, and keep your account
You do not have to delete everything to delete something.
- Open your Library and delete any saved word. Its history goes with it.
- Discard a word during a session and it leaves your list.
- Ask us at hello@slova.be to remove anything else we hold about you, and keep the account.
What we have to keep
Payment records. Tax law in the US and the EU makes us hold invoices for several years. An invoice holds your email address and the amount you paid. It holds nothing about your learning.
Counts that can't be traced back to you, like how many people finished a session on a given day. There's no way to link those to a person once the account is gone.
Cancel Pro first
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, so cancel it before you delete.
- If you subscribed on the website, use the link in your receipt email, or ask us at hello@slova.be.
- If you subscribed inside an app store, cancel it there. The store runs the billing, and we can't cancel it for you.
Our refund policy covers what happens to money already paid.
